MDS ADL Ownership

Home Ownership and Assistance with Daily Living (ADL)

Those who live in a combination of Ownership and Assistance with Daily Living will have lower support needs. Drop in support workers will come into the property to assist with daily or weekly support tasks, like supporting you to do shopping, cook meals and other domestic tasks.

What this looks like: You will live in a property that you or your family own. You may share this property with other residents who are tenants at the property. You will have your own support workers coming into the property who assist you in daily tasks. You will use the other funding in your NDIS plan to access the community, therapies, buy consumables etc.

It’s important for you and your support network/family to have frank discussions about the intended legacy use of the property, so that you can ensure you have a stable place to live into the future, if you don’t intend on moving around. A Circle of Support can be of use in these arrangements.
